BlueCatBio develops centrifugation-based tools for adherent cell–based assays, magnetic-bead workflows, and high-throughput flow-cytometry sample preparation. Since winning SLAS and MipTec awards in 2015, the centrifugal Blue®Washer has become the standard for non-contact media removal in 96–1536-well plates, improving Z′ in adherent cell assays through reproducible low residual volumes. It also shortens run times and eliminates tip waste in magnetic-bead protocols. In 2024, Blue®Plate earned the SLAS New Product Award for pellet-free, rapid suspension-cell washes with >95% cell retention. Blue®CombiX is the first combined plate washer and centrifuge, automating all spin-down, evacuation, and reagent-addition steps required for flow cytometry sample preparation.
Core Quantum Technologies (CQT) developed a proprietary polymer that encapsulates, protects and stabilizes fluorescent (MultiDots) and/or magnetic nanoparticles (MagDots) for flow cytometry, imaging, and cell separation applications.
MultiDots deliver bright signals with narrow emission spectra spaced every ~20 nm, reducing spectral overlap and expanding multiplex capabilities in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy panels. MultiDots are easy to conjugate using our conjugation kits or services. They are highly stable over time in aqueous and lyophilized forms and maintain performance in up to 4% PFA and methanol.
MagDots integrate both magnetic iron oxide and fluorescent components in a single nanoparticle, facilitating simultaneous cell separation and downstream analysis that saves valuable time and $. MagDots can be used with commercially available packed columns as well as in open magnets with significant improvements in cell recovery.
